

I'm not afraid of the future, but saying digital only is the future is both ignorant and anti-preservation. If it was printed on disc it would be much easier to get access to. You can only at it if you downloaded it during that short time that it existed, no one else can play it unless they have a PS4 with an account that previously owned it.

The only reason I used PT as an example is because it was the most recent game that it has happened to.īut even if it was just a tech demo, it's still a game list to time at this point. There would be no reason to have to show off the tech that was being used in the game, it was just on the fox engine which was used previously. Once a game loses its licence it stops new users from getting the chance to play the game. The game won't exactly get taken away from you, but they can remove the download all together.

Most discs have an early version of the game on it and install directly from the the disc.
